Intermediate positions for swivel units Tips and tricks

Third position in pneumatic swiveling? How does it work?

In order to achieve a third position when using a swivel unit, the use of an intermediate position is suitable.
An additional module is connected directly to the swivel unit and moves two piston rods into the swivel unit in the pressure chamber.
The racks are pushed into a “middle position”.
The center position can be influenced by the penetration depth and is 90° +/- 20°, for ZWP-9-SES it is 90° +/- 10°.
The intermediate position is reached directly via the rack – thus its repeatability depends on the gear and is 0.05°.

We recommend the use of dampers or at least the use of throttles for high moments of inertia.
