Gripping unit PGM-38
The housing of the second-smallest gripping unit, the PGM-38 from Friedemann Wagner GmbH, measures just 38mm wide with the jaws closed—hence the name PGM-38! This gripper is also specifically designed for handling small workpieces.
The piston diameter is 14mm.
Proximity switch detection is possible. This is done via sensor holes on the underside of the housing. The field contact is realized via the underside of the jaws.
Wagner grippers can be operated between 2 and 8 bar.
A variant with gripping force safety (springs on the outside) is optionally available
Special features of PGM-38
PGM-38 has 3mm stroke per jaw.
The PGM-38 always includes six stepped centering rings (ZR-4-A5). Two are used for mounting the parallel gripper, and two each are used for mounting the customer's gripper fingers.
PGM-38 can be attached directly to the head plate of the LSM-3 mini slide or to the LSM-4 with centering rings.
Due to the size ratio, a query via C-slot sensors is unfortunately not possible.
