Rotary actuator - full torque in end position

Why does a Wagner rotary actuator have full torque in the end position?

Because we have been pursuing external stops as a philosophy for years. As you can read from many suppliers, the last degrees of angle (approx. 2°) are only approached with one drive piston. At the most important position - the end position - only half the torque is available. !

To avoid this inherent hurdle, external stops can be purchased and installed. Our SM, SE and SES series part-turn actuators are equipped with external stops in all sizes.
The stop screw holder is part of the housing, which is milled from solid material. You set the angle of rotation from the outside and clamp the stop screw using a clamping block.

The benefit:

  • Full power in the end position
  • Repeatability independent of rack/pinion
  • Sensors can be installed in the hollow stop screw
  • All interference in one direction
  • external stops without further assembly / tolerances of third components

The Wagner rotary actuator therefore has full torque exactly where it is most important - in the end position!
