Wagner swivel unit size 4
What is the reaseon for a M5-thread in the swivel-platform of SES-4 and SE-4?
This is in fact a good question. As suitable center rings ZR-4 do have an inner thread M5. Identical thread sizes ...a bit confusing!
But there is a reason.....let us explain the situation using the drawing of SE-4:
ZR4 are centering rings for our module size "4". We talk about fittings for our centerring-grid 32mm x 32mm. For easy pull off, a M5-thread is inside the ring!
Wagner modules in size "4" do base on M4-threads. So different units in this size can easily be mounted via the grid, center-rings and M4-screws. The diameter of M4 is smaller than the inner thread of ZR-4. Assembly can be done "through" the center-ring ZR-4 (see drawings).
The existing thread (M5) on the turing platform of SE-4 and SES-4 (yellow arrow) are initially inside for production purposes only. We use them when manufacturing the products.
The core drilling diameter of M5-Thread is recommended as "through hole" for the centering-system. Just to assemble - as explained - other modules or load.
We did leave the existing threads (only there due to our production needs) as a additional benefit for the customer!
If the user wants to us center-rings and "our" M5-threads in the platform, we recommend diagonal use of the rings.
Are you aware of...
the bottom of swivel units SE-4 and SES-4 do have drillings and fittings for center-ring in size ZR-6 (grid 48mm x 48mm).
