Linear unit including low-wear, pneumatic shock absorber

LE-6 and LE-9 with pneumatic shock absorbers

Due to discussions about sustainability and environmental awareness, modules LE-6 and LE-9 are back in our portfolio.
As pressurized air is available in pneumatic applications, additional dampers can be avoided, when using air also for deceleration purposes.

The linear units are equipped with a pneumatic damping unit inside the moving head.
Compressed air is set to the system, an included piston effects against the driven direction: drive and shock absorbing with the same medium: air!
That means an almost wear-free damping of load without hydraulic dampers and without the regular change of worn hydraulic shock absorbers.

Control of damping is done by adjustable stop-screw (stroke) and external one-way restrictors.
Both linear units are available with stroke lengths 100 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm (LE-9: even 400 mm).
The complete way of the stroke can be adjusted. The construction principle also allows the use in portal applications.
