You need a pick & place? We propose LEN-6 / VEN-6!
The modular pick-and-place system for efficient handling processes
Are you looking for a fast and cost-effective solution for your pick-and-place processes? Our modular system offers you off-the-shelf components for customized automation solutions – without the complexity of expensive industrial robots.
Why our pick-and-place system is the ideal solution:
- Fast assembly: Thanks to specially designed linear units (LEN-6) and vertical units (VEN-6).
- LEN-6 (Horizontal) : Available in 4 stroke lengths.
- VEN-6 (Vertical) : Available in 5 stroke lengths for maximum adaptability.
- Suitable parallel gripper , e.g. PGM-120 , for direct mounting
- Ready-to-use: Pre-installed hydraulic dampers and initiators under robust sheet metal covers.
- Cost advantage: An efficient and precise alternative to complex robotic systems.
- Integration : Optional pneumatic-electrical integration
Experience the cost and accuracy advantages for yourself! Watch our video to see a pick & place solution in action and be impressed by the versatility of our modular system.
How can you customize your system?
Flexibility through modular components: LEN-6 and VEN-6
The horizontal movement of the linear unit (LEN-6) is available in the catalog in 4 strokes (100, 200, 300 and 400 mm ) .
For the vertical stroke (VEN-6), 5 stroke lengths are even offered .
Simply select the appropriate stroke length for your requirements and optimize your pick & place process!
Customized integration: Pneumatic, pneumatic+electric or none (basic version)!
In addition to an affordable basic version of the pick & place system (without integration ), a version with purely pneumatic integration as well as a fully integrated version (pneumatic and electrical) are available ex works. In the final configuration, the air supply and signal feedback are thus routed through the unit itself.
A particular advantage – the internal air supply and signal transmission – means for you:
- No disruptive external cables in the installation space.
- No wear and tear from torsion or constant movement.
- Compact design for confined workspaces.
Quickly available, structured and compact - as seen in the photo on the right!
This coordinated integrated system for your pick & place process is documented in a separate operating manual .
Highlight: Where do I mount my pick and place system?
- Fixed use: rigid mounting on a suitable tripod (accessory).
- SES-9 rotary actuator: System around one rotational axis (0–190°), ideal for complex positioning tasks.
Use our centering rings and centering holes to fix it directly to your application or our illustrated stand for rigid positioning (see also image on the right). from the accessories catalog.

If you want to swivel your pick & place system: With our pneumatic swivel drive SES-9 , the superstructure can be swivelled with horizontal and vertical movement, and the gripper can be swivelled between 0 and 190° - adjustable from the outside!
The key feature: If the rotary actuator with 6-way air and signal feedthrough is selected, the above setup can be supplied with air through the rotating shaft during rotation ! With some additional wiring, even the signals can be routed through the rotating shaft!

Intermediate position (ZWP): Enables workpiece handling/unloading at two different height levels.
The absolute highlight of the pick & place solution, however, is the conveniently available intermediate position - see catalog .
This is simply mounted between the modules and allows the workpiece to be placed and picked up at a second height level . Our sketch below or the short video shows the different height levels of the pick and place process .
Depending on the configuration, this module can also be supplied with data and queried through the unit!
For information on what sensors and dampers are included with each variant, please refer directly to the operating instructions on this page .
Flexibility for other applications!
Advantageous: Both the linear unit and the vertical unit from the pick & place kit can of course be purchased and operated “stand-alone”.
Here you can find a quick overview of the available lengths!

The diagram below can be viewed in more detail directly in the operating instructions . The positions of the individual components are numbered in this table:
