What advantages do Wagner handling units offer?

We have been manufacturing such modules for over 40 years. In other words, this term has been embedded in our company name since our founding .

Whether parallel grippers, rotary indexing tables, swivel drives or linear units: we generally manufacture automation units that are driven by pneumatics. But what is the difference to the (standard) cylinder that is usually used in pneumatics?

We design and manufacture high-precision and durable units with enormous repeatability .
These are available on a customer-specific basis or from stock (standard range),

The aim is to meet the high demands of our customers - regardless of the application in each industry.
The aim is also to offer the designer the most technically complete tool possible!

Examples of this are

• External stops for clear end positions
• integrated guides (bearings)
• existing mounts for sensors
• existing mounts for hydraulic dampers
• Grid dimensions for easy joining of units - even among each other
• Additional functions such as air ducts, mounting holes, etc.

Such features are usually not found in classic pneumatic cylinders.

Do you have any objections?

• Of course, your application may not require an accuracy of, for example, +/- 0.01 mm...
• Of course, you can also provide your own mounts for sensors, dampers, and stops in your application...
• Or you move little load and therefore don't need a damper...

Conversely, consider, for example, a miniature linear slide that has to be installed in confined spaces. This leaves little room for additional attachments—not to mention the additional costs and tolerances.

And on the subject of "dampers" mentioned above: You don't have to integrate a damper—you can! The space for it is technically provided. Simply specify the required version when ordering or order one from the accessories.

Important to note: Our pneumatic units are available in various sizes. The modules are mounted using a centering system (fits and grid dimensions). Accessories include connector strips and adapter plates.

It always depends on your intended use and the overall assessment as to whether you will benefit from the advantages of our products.
