Normally, hoses for grippers or vacuum suction cups must be routed externally along the swivel unit. With thousands of cycles, this leads to:

With the SM-4, compressed air (or vacuum) is fed directly into the housing and routed internally through the rotating shaft upwards into the contact surface.
