As pressured air is available in pneumatic applications, additional dampers can be avoided, when using air also for deceleration purposes.
The linear units are equipped with a pneumatic damping unit inside the moving head.
Compressed air is set to the system, an included piston effects against the driven direction: drive and shock absorbing with the same medium: air!
That means an almost wear-free damping of load without hydraulic dampers and without the regular change of worn hydraulic shock absorbers.
Control of damping is done by adjustable stop-screw (stroke) and external one-way-restrictors.
Both linear-units are available with stroke-lengths 100 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm (LE-9: even 400 mm).
The complete way of the stroke can be adjusted. The construction principle also allows the use in portal-applications.
