How to get a third position with a pneumatic swivel unit?
If needed, you can use the module intermediate-position to get a third position in a 180° pneumatic angle.
This additional item is connected to the swivel unit and moves two piston rods inside the pressurized area.
Meaning: the racks are pushed "from outside" to a mid position.
The intermediate position is adjusted by the depth (length) of the rods and results in a stop @ 90° +/- 20°, in case of ZWP-9-SES @ 90° +/- 10°.
Repeat accuracy depends on the gear and is 0,05°.
In case of high moment of inertia, we recommend restrictors. Some of the intermediate postions can be fitted with shock absorbers.
Intermediate modules are available for some of our swivel units - matching to the different modul-sizes .
