Why a linear unit from Friedemann Wagner?
We are an experienced manufacturer of linear units with stroke lengths of 20 mm up to 500 mm. An external stop system ensures high repeat accuracy and reduces wear. Some types are equipped with hollow stop-screws to house the poximity switch inside – that helps to monitor the exact stop-position. Our precise linear unit systems are made of high-strength aluminium. Different impact forces or capacities loads are provided due to a wide range of devices. For sure, use in horizontal and vertical linear movement is possible. For many applications, we offer variants of linear units with cross-roller-, recirculating ball-, ball- bearing or bearing guiding. With our sophisticated system of centering, (centering-rings, grid, adapters) devices can be precisely and clearance free connected with each other – without external construction costs!
Why do you use your own designed cross-roller-guidings?
We wanted to save space, produce smaller units and at the same time use bigger roller elements. This is why Linear Units of the product family LSK are equipped wit our own guidings (more information).
Is a sub-construction needed for portal-use of Linear Units LEM-6, LEK-6 and LEM-9?
No! This Linear Unit is designed to realize portal-applications without further sub-constructions (the central guiding-head has an axial offset).
Is it correct that LE-6 and LE-9 have a pneumatic damping?
Yes! Inside the central guiding-head of Linear Unit LE-6 and its big brother LE-9 a pneumatic damping-element is situated. Connecting this to pressurized air you nearly have a wear-free damping system and you need no additional space for that!
Are there special elements for „pick and place“ purposes?
The corresponding units LEN-6 and VEN-6 are available in different stroke-lenghts.
They are ready to use, completely equipped (including damping and sensors) and can be arranged to pick & place-solutions. According the demands, versions without grommets, with air-grommets or air- and electrical grommets are offered in the standard-program.
A special intermediate-position allows to realize a third position e.g. „a position for rejects“.
Due to payloads, these Linear Units are fitted with hydraulic shock absorbers.
